WELCOME!
We welcome you to Bellevue Christian Church, affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), one of the largest mainline Protestant denominations founded on American soil.
We hope you'll take time to visit our entire website to learn about who we are and what we are about in the local Nashville area and in the world.
We believe that each individual has the freedom and responsibility to interpret the Scriptures.
We have no formal creedal statement, but we each affirm the Great Confession that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and our personal Savior.
We do not believe that we have a "lock" on the truth. Our early church leaders made the statement, "We are not the ONLY Christians, we are Christians only."
We celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday, and practice both open Communion and open membership. This makes us a good "bridge" church for couples with differing religious backgrounds.
As a fellowship of faith, we affirm the individual's inherent worth as a child of God. We emphasize the positive nature of the Gospel message as it relates to living life abundantly.
