Highlights - Bellevue Christian Church

Nov. 30, 2008

“There’s a sweet, sweet, spirit in this place…….and I know that it’s the spirit of the Lord”. As our guest pianist, Penny Sisk, played this song, we settled in for our first Sunday of Advent. John Walker read the meaning of the different symbols used during the Advent season. Charlene Jensen lit the first candle….a representation of expectation and anticipation.

Our small quaint sanctuary has been elegantly decorated for the Christmas season. A special thanks to Joan Kirkpatrick and all of her helpers. It looks absolutely beautiful! J

Joys and Concerns:
Amelia (Betty’s daughter-in-law) for a safe trip home from overseas, Micah, Bobby, Ruby, Nancy, Fairy and Joe were the ones mentioned. Also, let’s remember all of the unspoken requests of our congregation.

Outreach Opportunities:
Items needed for the Bellevue Food Bank: cake mix, frosting, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, canned vegetables. We will be delivering to the food bank on Monday, December 8th.

Attendance today: 22
Tithes and offerings for November: $4815.00

May the sweet, sweet spirit of the Lord be with you all this week.

Karen
